  1. Unmount Partition:

  3. To unmount a partition:

  5. 1.    Select a partition from the list at the top right of the Partitions window.
  6.  
  7. NOTE:  You cannot unmount the startup partition on the startup drive unless you start up from a floppy.

  9. 2.    Click the Unmount button.  
  10.  
  11. 3.    The DriveManager will unmount the partition, unless a file on that partition is currently open; in that case, a dialog will be displayed informing you of this.  If this dialog does appear, you must Quit from all applications and repeat steps 1 - 3 in order to unmount this partition.

  13. 4.    Click the Done button.

  15. NOTE:  If you are in the Finder, you can unmount a partition by dragging its icon to the Trash.
